बरवा संत समागमु प्रकटला आत्मारामु

These lines written by Saint Gyaneshwar emphasise the importance of Sant Samgam in one’s journey to know the true self. And this discovery happens at Sant Samgam:

‘We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.’

Being in the company  of saints can transform one’s life. We begin to imbibe the wisdom and divine qualities of saints. We also learn to live in communion with God through our daily routines in this materialistic world.

While science has helped us understand how we’re born, it is spiritual enlightenment that reveals a deeper Truth—who we really are. Life is truly worth living when we know our true selves. The True Master bestows God Knowledge and nudges us towards God Realisation through Sant Samagams.

Sut Dara aru Lakshmi paapi ke bhi hoye

Sant samagam hari katha Tulsi durlabh doye

(Sinners also own kin, wealth, materialistic possessions

Sant Samagams and singing the glory of God are rare)

These lines by Saint Tulsidas sum up the importance of saints and the reason for us to be at Sant Samagam.

रात का वक्त था। अचानक बारिश जोरों से शुरू हुई। सुनसान रस्ते पर बसी एक छोटी सी कुटियां पर किसी ने दस्तक दी। अंदर से एक शख्स ने सहमे-सहमे दरवाजा खोला और पूंछा -“कौन है?”

पथिक ने कहा, “मैं रास्ते से गुजर रहा था और अचानक जोरों से बारिश शुरू हो गई। इस बे-मौसम बरसात से बचने के लिए, क्या मुझे आपकी कुटिया में थोड़ा सहारा मिल सकता है”?

अंदर से व्यक्ति ने सेवाभाव का उदाहरण देते हुए कहा – “बिल्कुल, आप अंदर आ जाइये, मेरी कुटिया इतनी बड़ी तो नही कि रात हम दोनों सो कर गुजार सकें, किन्तु हाँ, हम दोनों रात भर बैठ के अपने आप को बारिश से ज़रूर बचा सकते हैं “।

थोड़ी देर गुज़री और उसी दरवाजे पर पुनः किसी ने दस्तक दी । इस बार पथिक नया था, लेकिन कारण वही था। उसे भी बरसात से बचने के लिए कोई सहारा चाहिए था। इस बार कुटिया के व्यक्ति ने यही कहा- “बेशक आप अंदर आ जाइये, हालांकि मेरी कुटिया इतनी बड़ी नहीं कि हम तीनों बैठ कर रात गुजार सकें, किन्तु हम तीनों कुटिया के भीतर खड़े होकर अपने आप को भीगने से अवश्य बचा सकते हैं।”

यह उदाहरण ने सोचने पर मजबूर कर देता है कि अगर दिल में जगह है तो बाकी जगह अपने आप ही बन जाती है और सेवा के बाद मन में खुशी व दिल को सकून आना भी लाज़मी ही है। वैसे ही आंकड़ों की दृष्टि से समागम का क्षेत्रफल बेशक कई सैकड़ों एकड़ में गिना जा सकता है, लेकिन लाखों-लाखों  गुरसिखों के विशाल दिलों में ये, पहले से ही समाया हुआ है, उसका क्षेत्रफल कैसे नापा जा सकता है?

निरंकारी संत समागम में सेवाभाव और विशालता के अनूठे, जीते-जागते उदाहरण अनुभव करने को मिलते हैं। समागम के मैदानों की तो फिर भी कोई सीमा है, पर संतो-महात्माओं के दिल असीमित विशालता का प्रमाण हैं, कड़कती ठंड में भी इनका ह्रदय सिकुड़ता नहीं है। सर्व-समावेशक भाव के साथ, हर परिस्थिती में ये एक-दूजे को मजबूरी में नही अपितु सहर्ष अपना लेते हैं, प्रेम देते है, और अनेकों दिलों को जीतकर, भक्ति की मिसाल कायम करते हैं।

वैसे, समागम के मैदान कितने भी बड़े हो जाए, लेकिन महापुरषों के उत्साह के कारण कम पड़ ही जाते है लेकिन महापुरषों के दिल सद्गुरु की दी हुई शिक्षा की वजहसे समस्त मानवजाति को भी अपने अंदर बहुत प्रेम से समा लेते है, और इसीलिए यह समागम अविरत चलता जा रहा है…

There’s a quote:

‘Volunteers are not paid—not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.’

 Selfless service is integral to devotion; it reflects surrender and love towards the Almighty. Selfless service is an unconditional act rendered with great humility and compassion towards mankind. 

Nirankari Sant Samagam is synonymous with selfless service – ‘of the people, by the people, for the people’. Every devotee comes here to improve themselves and serve fellow beings. This contributes to achieving their purpose of life by living a life of purpose.

 ‘Serving man is worshipping God’ is one of the mottos of the Sant Nirankari Mission. The essence of this motto is ‘selfless service is not about helping others, but a humble responsibility of every devotee—because there are no others’. This is the secret of how they serve with a smile. 

There had been a question raised long ago to a saint. A person had asked that how was it possible for such a big crowd to sit and attend this congregation in such peace and discipline. The saint replied by saying that “every person attending this event comes with an intention of being a host rather than the guest”. 

The feeling of oneness and unity that is within every saint through this Almighty God is the reason for the cordial and surrendered behaviour of theirs.
