Rev. Kulwant Singh Ji Visit

Report Of Rev. Kulwant Singh Ji's Visit To Minneapolis

Rev. Kulwant Singh Ji and his esteemed spouse Rev. Nand Kaur Ji who were on a missionary tour of USA visited Minneapolis on August 19, 2000. A spiritual congregation was held on August 20 at senior citizen building, 1505 Park Ave. and Rev. Rajnish Ji who conducted the stage welcomed the couple and laid stress on the need of  such dedicated saints to visit MPLS to give inspiration.

Rev Kulwant Singh Ji speaking on a hymn from Avtar Bani explained to a gathering of 50 saints that  a true saint having received joy of spiritual awakening, acts always to share the same with as many  as others. He inspires others to seek Divine Knowledge with his practical saintly living. He secures the unique gift of God-knowledge attained through grace of the True Master with the righteous action as inspired by being at one with God. He always seeks company of saints to keep himself reformed and get his mind cleansed. He along with other saints sings praises of Formless One and gives glowing accounts of the True Master’s grace in a state of divine consciousness. He remembers the One so much so that the One dwells in his mind and heart. He perceives Divine Light all round. He renders selfless service to humanity  without expecting any reward believing that  service of man is service of God. Thinking right, doing good and wishing well of everybody becomes his life-style. Humility, truth and love reflect in his daily doings and dealings with others. The Great Giver is the Owner of all material possessions and he as a trustee is to use them for the common good. Doing actions true to his thoughts and words he surrenders completely to the Will of God and recognizes Him the Great Doer. He remains ever cheerful and contented by obeying and surrendering himself to the True Master. He seeks the dust of the Master’s lotus feet. He bows down at his sacred feet  with full faith and devotion and lives upto his lofty teachings. He sees the divine glimpse of the True Master to purify his mind. He gets peace and happiness and transcends the fear of births and deaths. As the True Master  gets pleased he becomes a renowned saint.

Rev. Kulwant Ji referred to the Volunteer Service Corps symbolizing the Mission’s commitment to selfless service to humanity. It organizes to hold the Annual World Spiritual Congregation in Delhi. The members of the Corps having  physical disabilities serve the saints selflessly. The firm faith of such members (though blind by eye) in the Nirankari Baba is vindicated by their standing in queues to have the close glimpse of the Master so that he sees to smile and bless them by giving a pat. He emphasized that man should accomplish the task for which human life is given. Man instead of being allured by materialistic galore should act and approach God-realized person to get his soul enlightened and to dwell in God who is the true abode of his soul. “Restless are our souls until they rest in God” God is eternally present and one can be conscious of its existence when The True Master tears asunder the veil of ignorance to reveal it through God-knowledge.

By giving Mission’s background he stated  that Universal Brotherhood Mission  as  a spiritual movement dates back to 1929 when Baba Buta Singh Ji reproclaimed the basic truth that without God-knowledge, God-devotion is fruitless. The Mission actually started with the revealing of God-knowledge by Baba Buta Singh to Baba Avtar Singh. Baba Avtar Singh was excited to find that God sought to be realized by observing rigorous religious practices could be known easily and instantly with the grace of the True Master. He joined the Master in taking the spiritual light to as many others as possible and the movement gathered momentum. Baba Buta Singh nominated him to head the Mission in year 1943. Despite heavy odds Baba Avtar Singh disseminated Divine Word for uplift of mankind. He got the Mission registered in 1948 and gave it a sound organizational base. Avtar Bani named after him is his most authentic book on philosophy of the Mission.

Rev. Nand Ji recited her two poems on how the Master blesses his disciples. She showed her happiness on the involvement of youths in MPLS congregations. Their leading of pious life worth emulating by others is very much appreciable.
