A Special congregation of June 28, 2009 in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota

A spiritual congregation was held in the basement of Rev. Ajay Uppal’s home on June 28, 2009 in the divine presence of Rev. Gobind Singh who visited Minneapolis from Michigan. The basement was completely full with local saints, saints from U.K., new York, Omaha (NE) and vizag (India). Apart from saints there were friends and relatives of the saints’ family seeking blessings at their home. The stage was presided by Rev. Gobind Singh. The Stage was conducted by Rev. Bharatji. The satsang started with recitation of verses from holy Avtar Vani.

Rev. Bharatji started by bringing out the fact that Veer Arjuna in the battleground of Kurukshetra was altogether changed, earlier he used to treat Lord Krishna as his friend and family but after having divine knowledge from the Lord he bowed himself in his holy feet. Rev. Mohinderpal stated that this human birth is very valuable and the aim of his life is to know this Formless God. Rev. Gurbachan stressed the importance of being loved. Rev. Mohan by being the eldest in the Uppal family welcomed all saints and shared thoughts of having the Satsang at the home and requested everyone to schedule the Satsang at his home to have happiness and prosperity. Rev. Rajneesh spoke about having a good career and materialism is good but it is necessary that we should give importance to the creator not the creation. Rev. Mirpuri from Vizag said that Babaji sends preaching saints from places to places because we are like students and the preachers are like teachers who come to check on us if we are doing good or not. First Rev. Sundermurti, along with his son  and  later his wife and sister (the family came all the way from Omaha) respectively presented songs preferably seeeking Satguru’s love than material objects and pleasure of the world. Rev. Bhapa Jagjit in his beautiful poem conveyed that life is so fragile and anything can happen at any time and one should get divine knowledge by the grace of the True Master to make use of his human form. There was a children song and saints from U.K. and New York also sought blessings. Rev. Ajay, the host saint, shared the incident from his life that how he met with a serious accident a year before and how he recovered by Babaji’s blessings. Rev. Rajinder expressed that how 3S i.e. Sangat, sewa and simran can bring prosperity in life and how life can be changed by the blessings of Satguru.

Rev. Gobind Singh started his discourse explaining that wherever the satsang is held that place and thoughts of people living there get pure and divine. It has been said since ages and the same thing is being said now by saints that the entire visible universe is Maya i.e. is an illusion and Formless God being eternal can be attained through the True Master, Satguru. He stated that the Truth cannot be attained by merely naming God or reciting scriptures. To recite scriptures is just like a blind man who is standing in front of a mirror cannot see anything until he gets the vision. It is not easy to support the Truth and to walk on that.  Lord Rama who was to become a king of Ajodhya, but on the day of coronation willingly accepted the path of Truth of leaving the kingdom and going to the Jungle. Quoting Adi Granth he explained that how ego does not leave space for peace from inside and the longer the man keeps the ego the more he suffers. But a real saint completely surrenders himself to the True Master to get rid of his ego. If we don’t have peace in the mind we won’t find it anywhere outside the world. The peace of mind can only be obtained by blessings of the Master because without him there is darkness of ignorance in the world. Quoting from Ramchritmanas ‘Tulsi is sansar main sabse milye dhaya, jaane kis bhes main Narayan mil jaye;’ he explained that even after getting spiritual knowledge (Narayan), we doubt the Master and still have confusion about Nirankar it denotes that we did not understand the knowledge and would never be able to feel bliss of Nirankar. A story of Lord Jesus was shared that how Lord Jesus healed people in his time but one of Lord Jesus’s disciples could not heal a person. Upon asking about it, lord Jesus replied that no doubt his disciples can heal but because he doubted and failing in his faith could not heal the other. He pointed out ‘Sukh dukh dena wala, maarne bachaqne wala yahi hai’ that we should realize that whatever we get in life is given by the Great giver and we should submit to His Will. He quoted a saying of Lord Jesus ‘I am the bread of life. You come to me, shall not be hunger. You come to me, shall not be thirsty.’ One should approach to the True Master who can impart spiritual knowledge. His physical body will be left here as neither Rama nor Ravana remained in the world. He added that the veil of Maya has to be unveiled to know the Truth like the water in the vessel will merge in the water of river only when the lid is opened and that can be only done by the grace of the Master. To know the real self is essential. In the end he pointed out that man has gotten this precious human birth to know the truth but once time is gone it cannot be lived again. It is just like once a fruit has fallen from a tree it cannot be fixed again.

After the congregation community kitchen was served to all.
