Report Of Sangat held in the memory of Beeji

Rev. Amarjeet Kaur Arneja, a great devotee of the Nirankari Mission, popularly called Beeji among saints, left for heavenly abode on April 17, 2008 in a local hospital at Minneapolis,   MN (USA) due to pneumonia. She maintained simran (rememberance of God) which was a major part of her life with great zeal and fervour up to the end. During her last few days she  remained fully God-conscious (one with God) ignoring her body or anybody else attending her. Her son and three daughters were with her bedside. She was 90 years old.

Her cremation was held on April19, 2008 in the afternoon.  All family members, relatives, well-wishers, local saints and other saints from Milwaukee, Mrs.and Mr. Naresh Kumar Ji and those from Chicago, Rev. Prof. Puri Ji, Rev. Mohan Chander Ji, Rev. Avtar Singh Ji, Rev Rajan Dasawar Ji, Rev. sister Prem Kohli Ji, Rev. Raja Juneja Ji, Rev. Brijmohan Nagpal Ji & Rev. Yashpal Raheja Ji especially came all the way driving to Minneapolis to attend her funeral and pay homage to departed soul. She was cremated in a local crematorium where everyone present was to have her last glimpse and offer her body flower petals amidst recitation of Avtar Bani as a mark of respect. Rev. Puri Ji offered a bouquet on behalf of the Mission. Her body was consigned to electric furnace amidst chanting of simran.

Rev. Bee Ji was originally from Ludhiana, India where she was blessed with spiritual knowledge by Rev. Bhapa Ram Chand Ji of Kapurthala in the early fifties. She had no formal school education. But she being from a Sikh family had a good knowledge of Gurbani (Adi Granth) and could convince others to attend the holy congregation. She along with her husband, late Dr. Hardit Singh, who was an equally devoted saint, remained devoted by attending holy congregations regularly, doing selfless service and remembering God. She took great efforts to travel to contact saints in different localities by auto rickshaws when a Ladies Congregation was to be started in Ludhiana. The couple remained firm and steadfast to their path of Truth and devotion and showed the same to their children and others.

The couple came to U.S.A. in year 1986 in the city of Minneapolis and they did not lag behind in spreading the Mission message. A regular weekly congregation was started at their apartment in senior citizens building. They inspired all dear and near ones for God-devotion. After her husband merged in Nirankar (Formless) in year 1993, she remained equally devoted as ever before giving importance to satsang (holy congregation), sewa (service) and simran. For several years Minneapolis branch had been getting a key under her name for a hall in the building on Park Ave side to hold Sunday congregations regularly and special congregations on visit of great saints. Whenever His Holiness Satguru Baba Ji, Pujya Mata Ji, Pujya Rajmata Ji and other distinguished saints came on tour from all over India and America, they visited her apartment. Any one who visited her was highly impressed by her sweet disposition and selfless service. Her love was not confined to her family for she loved and respected all. On meeting the divine couple, Satguru Baba Ji & Pujya Mata Ji who last visited Minneapolis in year 2006 she hugged them and expressed relief and bliss to meet them after a separation of long time and prayed devotedly to come earlier to bless in future.

A holy congregation was held in the evening to pay her homage in the crematorium auditorium which besides by local saints was graced by saints from Chicago and Milwaukee. It was presided over by Rev. Puri Ji and stage was conducted by Rev. Yashpal Ji. All her children, grandchildren, son-in-laws and other saints of Chicago & Milwaukee paid rich tributes to her, glorifying her divine virtues. All the devotees praised her qualities and prayed to draw inspiration from her life.

Addressing the congregation Rev. Puri Ji stated that he especially came from Chicago to offer condolences to her family. On hearing demise of Rev. Bee Ji on 4/17/08 he was shaken again from inside after having been shaken one time before on loss of her own mother. He used to respect Beeji not less that that of her own mother for her divine virtues. Whenever he visited Minneapolis she always gave her affection by meeting him with open arms and giving a hug. She never hesitated to donate him lavishly without showing to anyone. She was a devoted saint of sweet temperament and good conduct. She with pious heart remained same from within and without. She was an image of love. Commenting on her last words spoken in the hospital to her daughter, Rev. Sharanjit Ji, “Satguru Baba Ji was right in her front but He was not speaking and appeared to be annoyed with her and wanting her to be more absorbed in simran.” which indicated the fearful mind of innocent Beeji as a devotee that nothing should emanate from her side that could tarnish the image of her Lord Master. She set an example of noble life bringing credit to the Mission.

The congregation was concluded with simran & community kitchen was served.
