Sant Nirankari Mission Awarded as National Partner by Canadian Blood Services

After successful contribution from past 15 years in donating and organizing blood donation camps by Sant Nirankari Mission (Toronto Branch), Canadian Blood Services recognized the Mission as their “National Partner for life” and held a function on May 24, 2012 here in Toronto to present the “Certificate of National Partner”. Rev Sukhbir Shah, General Secretary SNM Canada and Rev Satnam Roopra attended this function representing the Mission.
Canadian Blood Services held this function to gratitude donors, volunteers and partners. About 200 people attended this event. The Sant Nirankari Mission was the only National Partner being recognized in this function. Charmaine Lodge Director, Donors and Clinic Services Canadian Blood Services, highlighted the importance of the blood donation in saving human lives. They also recognized milestone donors in this function who have donated blood for 50, 75, 100, 150 & 200 times in their life span.
Before presenting the award to Sant Nirankari Mission, Charmaine Lodge read the Mission’s profile highlighting the vision of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji to see the blood donation as a way for its members to extend their humanity. She mentioned that the Mission organizes the blood donation camps in all major cities of Canada and has contributed well over 1500 units of blood collected since joining this program. It is one of the major organizations in Canada who hold blood donation clinics twice a year. The Mission recognizes blood donation as a universal human lifeline – all humans despite caste, colour, gender or creed need it to survive. . As she finished reading the profile, there was a good round of applause. The recognition award was presented by Mr. Tom Warner Board Member, Canadian Blood Services.
After the ceremony the mission’s partnership was appreciated by everyone present in this function. They were impressed by the slogan of the Mission, “HUMAN BLOOD SHOULD FLOW IN VEINS AND NOT IN DRAINS”
As a national partner, Sant Nirankari Mission is honoured to have their profile posted on the Canadian Blood Services website under national partners.
