HARMONY IN ONENESS FORT LAUDERDALE,
FL. USA-Publication Booths & Blood Drive

October 17th & 18th 2014

The Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the Sant Nirankari Mission participated in two Annual Community Melas: West Indian Mela in Fort Lauderdale and IRCC- Annual Mela in Miami. The objective was to bring awareness to the local East and West Indian Communities about the Sant Nirankari Mission and pass on the message of Harmony in Oneness; which our Sat Guru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj has been encouraging. Universal Brotherhood or – Vasudhaiv Kutumbkum- i.e. One world, One vast family- is a natural outcome of God -Realization.

The 7th Annual West Indian Mela 2014 was held again this year at the Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale on Friday, October 17, 2014. Here, we had a publication booth for the community. Free literature was given out to everyone who stopped by and awareness was given about the Mission. Models were arranged to help engage interaction with the youth. This mela was first organized in September of 2008 in Ft. Lauderdale Florida; and was the first celebration of its kind which took place at the prestigious Broward Cricket Park in Lauderhill, Florida. Participation from the West Indian Culture was abound and entertainment; in abundance. An attendance of about a 1000 people from countries like Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana and Suriname enjoyed delicacies and local dishes to tempt their taste buds. With live music from local and International artists, professional dance groups and Tassa drummers, the park hummed with jubilation.
