Publication Table - Mukti Parv Diwas

AIA's Independence Day Celebration, Aug 20

The Association of Indians in America, organized India’s 71st Independence Day at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The Sant Nirankari Mission’s local chapter set up a Publication table at this event to give out free books and CDs to the attendees who stopped by at the table.

                                                           



The event consisted of a stage cultural program along with an Art Gallery and a Virtual Reality edition of a Hollywood-Bollywood Fusion. There were vendors selling clothes, Jewelry, handicrafts and home goods. Many non-profit vendors also showcased their services, amongst which, the Sant Nirankari Mission was also included.

The cultural program highlighted dances from many different regions of India to mark India’s 71st Independence Day. Broward County Commissioner, US Congressman and Deputy Council from the Indian Embassy, Atlanta, also attended the event and were given an introduction about the Mission.

The Deputy Council from Consulate General of India’s office in Atlanta, Georgia: Mr. D.V. Singh came in as the chief guest of the event and shared his thoughts saying that he has attended Nirankari Samagams in Atlanta and shared his experience meeting with His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Maharaj in 2015 in Atlanta.

The Fort Lauderdale chapter has participated in AIA’s Independence Day Programs in the previous years as well. Free literature and CDs are generally given to anyone who stops by at the booth and an introduction about the Mission is given to the onlookers.

                                                           

On the same day, in the evening hours, Mukti Parv Diwas was observed in the form of a satsang. Sangat members talked about the significance of this day and reiterated the lessons learnt from saints in the past. Memories were revived about Her Holiness Raj Mataji, along with Baba Hardev Singh, Baba Gurbachan Singh ji, Jagat Mataji, the seven stars of the mission and the many more saints who give significance to this day. Sangat was followed by His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh ji’s vichaar, along with Satguru Mataji’s Mukti Parv Diwas vichaar.
