Handbags & Shoes for Homeless Women
March 1st 2016
The Sant Nirankari Mission worked in conjunction with the Punjabi Association of South Florida
to donate handbags and shoes for Homeless women who were being prepared for job interviews.
A local organization took the initiative to organize job interviews for these under-privileged women and then later asked for help to prepare these women and help them establish their careers. The local SNM Fort Lauderdale chapter offered counseling services for these women.
Satsang members conducted the drive and collected about 28 pairs of shoes and 20 handbags.
All items were dropped off at the local Gurudwara from where the Punjabi Association members picked up the donations and delivered them to the Homeless Shelter for Women.
The Punjabi Association acknowledged and thanked the Mission for their initiatives.
