Clothing Drive for the Homeless
Holiday Cheer: December 2016

The Fort Lauderdale chapter has been working with Broward Outreach Center in Pompano Beach for the past couple years. After Feeding the Homeless a couple times in their Hygiene Drive, the local chapter stepped forward to organize a clothing drive to commemorate the holiday season.
Local organizations were informed and requested to step in and contribute. The center had expressed a desire for more clothes and shoes for men, which was emphasized by volunteers for their donation collection. Close to 300 lbs of clothes and shoes were collected and then delivered to the Center.
The supervisor at Broward Outreach Center offered her hearfelt gratitude to the local SNM chapter and was very appreciative of SNM’s efforts. She also expressed the desire to work with SNM for ongoing initiatives in the future and offered many platforms for volunteering opportunities.
