Clothes Drive for Indian Family

February 27, 2016

The Miami Police department approached the local Fort Lauderdale chapter to seek help for an Indian Family that was in need of clothes. The Sheriff expressed that they want to keep the family information confidential so they requested SNM to go through the police department instead of approaching the family directly.

The Sheriff explained that the family has recently moved to USA and has two daughters who get laughed and bullied at school because they cannot afford proper clothes and they lack confidence and hence have been unable to make friends. As a result, they have been unable to adjust in their new American environment.

The local chapter collected clothes for both the daughters and the items were given to the Police department to be handed over to the family in need. SNM offered counseling and any more help in case the family needed ongoing support.
