Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev ji! Strength Personified!

Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of Radio Ruhaniyat! I’m Preet Sahi.

Life sometimes unfolds itself in ways that we don’t expect. We usually take it for granted that things will happen as expected but that’s not always the case. God has His own plans, which we are constantly trying to accept and adjust to.

Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev ji was the Spiritual head of the Sant Nirankari Mission from May 17th 2016 to July 17th 2018, after which she blessed Satguru Mata Sudiksha Savinder Hardev ji with the divine responsibility of being the current Satguru of the Sant Nirankari Mission.

On August 05, 2018, at the age of 61, Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev ji left her physical body and merged into the omnipresent God.

Satguru Mata ji was born on January 12th 1957 and was raised in a very spiritual environment.

Since childhood, she was involved in Sewa, Satsang and Simran. She did her initial schooling in Farrukhabad, in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India and then went into boarding in Convent of Jesus and Mary in Mussoorie. She then moved to Delhi, where she received her College education. Young Savinder Kaur ji was blessed into wedlock with Hardev Singh ji; the son of Satguru Baba Gurbachan Singh ji.

Satguru Mataji was the daughter-in-law of the Satguru, wife of the Satguru, the Satguru herself and then the mother of the Satguru. She was symbolic of “Strength Personified”. She fulfilled all her roles with utmost grace and charisma and served and blessed millions in her lifetime. From balancing motherhood for her three daughters, to extensive traveling in World Salvation Tours, Mata Savinder Hardev ji was an epitome of perfection. The youth could relate to her with just as much ease as the elderly would.

For 36 years, she served alongside Baba Hardev Singh ji blessing their 14 million devotees across the globe.

The Mission has 3000 chapters in 27 countries. She carried on all her divine responsibilities globally by giving personal attention to all her devotees. She always saw Baba ji as her Satguru first. After Baba Hardev Singh ji left his physical body, Mataji took on the responsibilities of being the Satguru as per blessings by Baba Hardev Singh ji in His last discourse. In her very first discourse as the Satguru she taught us how to love without any conditions. She inspired everyone to be a lighthouse and serve shoulder-to-shoulder.

Mataji was given the title of “YUGNIRMATA”: the maker of a new world. And sure enough, Mataji created a new era by starting the “Shehansha Yug”. While still living as the Satguru, she bestowed the divine responsibility of the spiritual head of the mission, to her youngest daughter: Sudiksha ji and transcended into being a devotee at her Satguru’s feet. This was the same scenario as in Shehansha ji’s times when the second Satguru of the Mission gave up guruship to his son Baba Gurbachan Singh ji and for the next seven years, he served His Satguru as a devotee.

During her lifetime of 61 years, Mataji’s love and compassion healed and blessed devotees from all walks of life. Her teachings would always focus on the practicality of life and she would emphasize on practicing spirituality in our everyday life. Her discourses would strengthen the faith and connect devotees with the divine.

Under the divine guidance of Satguru Mataji, the mission fulfilled many causes for community betterment. Women Empowerment projects in the United Nations, Free Chiropractic Camps for thousands of people, Global Blood Donation Camps, Food Drives, Cancer & Alzheimer’s Walks are just a few of the Mission’s services for social welfare. Earlier this year, Cleanliness drives were organized in 564 Hospitals in 250 cities in India, all in one day and were completed within a matter of four hours with 300,000 volunteers.

Satguru Mataji was given the award for this year’s Spiritual Icon of the year 2018.

Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev ji left a mark in everyone’s hearts. In simplest of words, she touched and changed lives. Her compassion solved everything and her gentle smile spread happiness everywhere she went.

Mataji’s passing left millions in sorrow, as this came as not only a loss of a Satguru but also that of a mother for the entire Mission. The Sant Nirankari Mission will really miss her physical presence.

-Until next time, this is Preet Sahi reminding you to Stay Spiritual!
