One year has gone by and it just seems like yesterday when this world lost the messiah of love and peace: Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj; The spiritual head of the Sant Nirankari Mission.

For 36 years, this messenger of Harmony and Oneness, worked day-in and day-out to bring about peace and harmony amongst people all across the globe. From his travels in every country possible to every small town and village all across India, He spread the message of the one formless God.

Baba Hardev Singh ji Maharaj was an epitome of Love and an apostle of Peace- He was 62-years-old, and headed the Sant Nirankari Mission as the Spiritual Guru from April 27th 1980 until May 13th 2016. In 36 years, He created numerous platforms on which He preached “Harmony In Oneness”, “Humanness”, “Peace Not Pieces” and much more. His message was for Humanity at large and he always preached that: "THERE IS ONLY ONE RELIGION IN THE WORLD AND THAT IS HUMANITY” Anyone who is born will eventually leave this world, but the “GYAN” or the Knowledge is eternal.

I remember an instance when I was about 20-years-old; I had received paperwork for my visa to USA. My dad, who had always raised me to be very independent, told me to take a bus from Chandigarh to Delhi and take care of my visa papers and the immigration interview on my own. He made my stay arrangements in Delhi at the Nirankari Colony at Respected Khurana ji’s home, who was a member of the Mission and also very close to us. When I reached Delhi, I requested Khurana ji to help me seek blessings from Babaji at the Nirankari Bhawan, which was walking distance from his home. Within minutes, I found myself before the prophet of the time and my joy had no bounds. Not only did I get to see my Satguru, but Babaji also made me sit down with Him and started preparing me for the immigration interview for my visa. Babaji gave me three questions and also prepared me how to answer them when I go for my visa interview. In my heart-of-hearts, I was absolutely sure that my visa was already granted because I hadn’t expected the Satguru to prepare me so thoroughly for an immigration interview.
When I reached the embassy, upon my turn, I was in absolute awe, when I was asked the same exact questions, in the same exact sequence. I had never experienced so much confidence in myself as I did when I answered those questions that day. My visa was granted!

In another instance in 2001 when I was due for a state inspection at my Assisted Living Facility in Coral Springs, Florida. My licensing depended on this inspection. I had this intense desire that I wanted to seek blessings from His Holiness Babaji so that everything would go as per the divine’s plan. While preparing for this inspection, I got a call from a mission member in Mumbai, India, saying that Babaji’s wife: Pujya Mataji had a question for me and wanted to talk to me. As I talked to her and got her blessings, I expressed how elated I was that I had wanted blessings and how I got this opportunity to seek her blessings. Pujya Mataji then said that if this was the case then why don’t you seek blessings from Babaji himself and she handed the phone to His Holiness Babaji. I could not believe that I was actually talking to Babaji and how blessed I was in receiving the enormous amount of blessings He gave me.

After the conversation was over, I realized that Mataji never asked me any question as initially indicated by the mission’s member. I knew then that this was merely the divine plan through which the Satguru wanted to fulfill my desire. I got the blessings from my prophet that day and the very next morning the state department walked in and gave me a “No-Deficiency Inspection Report”.
I realized that day how the Satguru goes out of His way to fulfill every little desire for His devotees. I also realized that the Satguru always knows what is going on in the minds of His devotees no matter where in the world they are. Babaji had always been looking over me and had blessed me profoundly and I have seen and felt His blessings all along. I am very fortunate and immensely blessed to have been born and brought up in this Mission in which I have received nothing less than infinite love from everyone. With 3000 branches in 27 countries, the Sant Nirankari Mission has about 13 million followers across the globe. This organization has been contributing towards humanitarian causes selflessly under Babaji’s guidance.
The Sant Nirankari Mission is the single largest Blood Donating organization in India and holds these camps all across the world on a regular basis. On April 24th 2016, they had organized 119 blood drives all across the world simultaneously and have saved 2.3 millions potential lives as of last year’s statistics. These Blood drives are usually accompanied with Free Health Check ups. The largest hospital in India is now being built by the Sant Nirankari Mission in Delhi called: HEALTHCITY which has the capacity of over 1000 beds and will be providing state of the art healthcare to people from all walks of life.
The recent project of Cleanliness drives in Railway Stations across India and the planting of lakhs-and-lakhs of trees to save the environment, are all conducted by selfless volunteers from the mission. The Mission is also actively involved in the Women’s Forum with the United Nations and runs educational centers and many programs for the welfare of women in which they are taught to be independent and self-sufficient. His Holiness Babaji always preached equality for women.
The devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission believe in the One formless God who they call: “NIRANKAR”: one that has no form. The ideology of the Mission is to know the one formless God and attain salvation by following the path of “Self-Realization through God-Realization”. This realization teaches them to connect with the formless God and they live their day-to-day lives with the awareness of the Formless Almighty God.
On Tuesday: May 17th 2016, the much awaited announcement was made that Pujya Mata Savinder Kaur Ji, the gracious spouse of Baba Hardev Singh ji is the next Spiritual Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission. Although I lost my Satguru’s physical body last year, but His divine formless presence continues to be with us in the form of Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji. I feel blessed that Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev ji has been blessing us all as the same divine light because through her, His Holiness Babaji lives on! Her Holiness Mata ji has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Baba Hardev Singh ji for 36 years and gave her 100% towards the cause of humanity. In these three-and-half decades, Babaji prepared Mataji for the best yet-to-come.
In the past one year, I have seen a new wave of a Spiritual Revolution, in which the Journey from Oneness to Humanness continues to reach new heights. Every devotee in the mission has awakened to walk on the path paved by Baba Hardev Singh ji and youth is working harder than ever to fulfill every dream Babaji had seen about this mission. May Self-Realization through God-Realization reach every soul and we all be blessed to spread His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh ji’s message of love and oneness to everyone around us!
