We will then be focusing on the youngsters, in our section: BRIDGING THE GENERATION GAP by Simran Sahi from Washington DC. Many of our listeners, who also used to listen to my radio program: India On The Air, know my daughter from back in those days, who used to tag along with me at all the events.
Later, she used to help out Mr. Bhagwan Singh and Mala with announcements in this very program: Sangeet Mala. Well she’s old enough now that she will be addressing the youngsters at this seminar, about bridging the Generation Gap. She’ll talk to the youth about how to Bridge the generation gap with their parents. Very often we notice that the youth are often torn between two cultures and are constantly trying to establish what exactly is their identity.
This segment with transition into an interactive session between me: as a parent, and her: as the youth. We’ll discussing certain issues she faced as a child growing up in a dual culture and some that I faced as parent who raised a child in a dual culture.

To make a difference in our lives, we always have to start from somewhere. So remember what Rumi always says: Yesterday, I was clever, so I wanted to change the world, Today, I’m wise, so I’m changing myself!!!
