Trust God! Pastor & the Caller ID!

Hello everyone and thanks for joining us for yet another episode of Radio Ruhaniyat!!!

And here are a few more spiritual thoughts, to ponder upon the power of prayer. Our primary communication with God is through prayer. Once we are aware of God and start living in His awareness, we achieve a sense of communication with Him in ways which are beyond imagination. Undoubtedly, It is amazing how God works in our lives!

On one Saturday night, a pastor was working late, and decided to call his wife before he left for home. It was about 10:00 PM, but his wife didn’t answer the phone. The pastor pressed redial many times and thought that it was odd that she didn't answer. When he reached home, he asked her why she wasn’t answering the phone, and she said that the phone did not even ring once. They brushed it off as a fluke and went on their merry ways. The following Monday, the pastor received a call at the church office, which was the phone that he'd used that Saturday night. The man that he spoke with wanted to know why he'd called on Saturday night.

The pastor couldn't figure out what the man was talking about. Then the man said, "It rang and rang, but I didn't answer." The pastor remembered the mishap and apologized for disturbing him, explaining that he'd intended to call his wife. The man said, "That's, OK. Let me tell you my story. You see, disheartened and weak, I was planning to commit suicide on Saturday night, but before I did, I prayed, 'God if you're there, and you don't want me to do this, give me a sign now.' At that point his phone started to ring. He looked at the caller ID, and it said, 'Almighty God'. This was his sign from God, but he was afraid to answer!" The reason why it showed on the man's caller ID that the call came from” Almighty God" is because the church that the pastor attends is called Almighty God archdiocese church!! But the complete name did not fit in the ID.

This is why God works in amazing patterns and it is beyond us to comprehend Him.
In your :
Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
but EVERY MOMENT, just THANK GOD. That’s why it is also said: “Dukh vele Ardaas, Sukh vele Shukrana, Har vele Simran”

In a verse written by Kabir ji, he says:
Neither in fasting,
Nor in yogic exercises
Neither in renunciation
Neither in the vital force nor in the body
Not even in the ethereal space
Neither in the womb of Nature
Nor in the breath of the breath Seek earnestly and discover
In but a moment of search
Says Kabir, Listen with care
Where your faith is, I am there.

In spite of the different approaches of all religious and philosophical teachings, it is very clear that the all-pervading, omniscient, omnipresent factor is finally God. Due to our customs, traditions, languages we only address Him by various names. Yet, it is also true that in spite of this awareness, we spend a lot of time in arguing about God and try to impose attributes. Kabir ji noticed this centuries old phenomenon in his times also. And this great devotee, in the above verse highlights the underlying principle that God is everywhere.

Kabir ji reveals the various search patterns adopted by mankind. And each one seems to be justifying his chosen method. Some say God will be realized through pilgrimages while some justify idol worship. Some say He is up in the mountains while some believe that He is in places of worship. Some proclaim prayers and meditation are the path, others believe in realization through fasting. Many talk about yogic exercises and renunciation. But location, location, location: does not apply to God, because He is everywhere. Ask and thy shall be given, knock and the door shall open.

God answers our prayers in ways that we cannot even imagine. When we ask if we should turn left or right, He creates a path straight ahead of us. We sometimes ask God for little things when He had thought about blessing us with the larger things. We often limit ourselves to what our human mind can comprehend but we forget that God is the divine creator, who can create what we can never imagine. When we surrender ourselves to God and just let it be, He steps in and blesses us with the best. He is so vast that even if we lived our entire life praising and worshiping Him constantly, we would only have achived in Spirituality, what is equivalent to a grain of sand.

And remember: ANY ONE CAN COUNT THE NUMBER OF SEEDS IN AN APPLE, BUT ONLY GOD CAN COUNT THE NUMBER OF APPLES IN A SEED.

Until next time, this is Preet Sahi reminding you to Stay Spiritual!
