Happy New Year!
On behalf of Radio Ruhaniyat, we wish you all a very Happy New Year. We’ve all experienced our share of transactions of “Dukh & Sukh” in 2016 and as the New Year dawns, we hope and pray for ETERNAL BLISS for everyone.
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber started to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists." "Why do you say that?" asked the customer. "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain.
“I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things”. The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist." "How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!" "No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside." "Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me." "Exactly!" affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help. It’s because people do not have enough FAITH in Him. That's why, there’s so much pain and suffering in the world.
This coming year in 2017, we wish you all lots of FAITH AND SPIRITUALITY. The very start of spirituality comes from the awareness of God. We hope and pray for all the opportunities of GOD-KNOWLEDGE for you. May we all be able to fulfill our ultimate goal this year. The ultimate goal of every soul is the attainment of SALVATION and we hope that everyone listening, can find the stepping stones that will lead to this accomplishment. May we all be, more LOVING and HUMBLE this year.
We all aim for PEACE OF MIND. Peace of Mind comes from SURRENDER TO GOD. When we trust God to run our lives His way, we never have to stress about life’s measly shortcomings. We wish you all the art to surrender so that 2017 is filled with STRESS-FREE AND PEACE-FULL moments in your life. We all go to school and college to learn how to make our materialistic life successful. But only the fortunate few learn how to make their spiritual lives successful as well. This year, we wish you lots of opportunities for SATSANG or Congregation, so that we all can enhance our spiritual lives and make them more complete. Just like the body needs food to keep functioning, the soul needs spiritual knowledge for its nourishment.
If we truly understand the term that everything belongs to GOD, we would feel more complete and satisfied. This year, we wish you CONTENTMENT AND SATISFACTION in life. The fact that we can breathe, is a miracle in itself. May the year 2017 bring in lots and lots of blissful BLESSINGS to make your lives more complete. May we all REMEMBER GOD with every breath….coz when we let God bless every moment, there is no room for error in our lives. May the Almighty’s blessings and “Meher” (Grace) fall upon us every moment; this year.
May we all learn to be more TOLERANT of each other this year. If we bring in our share of responsibility for HARMONY around us, we can make this world a better place. May the year 2017 be the very best year for you and may you be blessed with GOOD HEALTH, SUCCESS AND PROSERITY in every field.
