Street Cleaning Communnity Service February 23rd 2020
To commemorate upcoming Guru Puja Diwas for this year members of Washington DC metro branch are going to participate in 3rd annual street cleaning drive on Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm. All members are humbly requested to participate in this cleaning drive and be on time. Please see the details below:
Outside cleaning focus:
Within Bhavan boundary outside (Not to include main street).
Main street cleaning from Bhavan to north ends at Rajdhani Mandir (One team).
Main street cleaning from Bhavan to south ends at next residential street (One team).
Other Instructions:
1. All volunteers must assemble at Bhavan parking lot between 2:15 - 2:30 PM sharp
2. Please avoid open-toed shoes, sandals or flip-flops, wear shoes/sneakers.
3. All volunteers to bring heavy duty trash bags, gloves, sweepers and dust pan with them.
4. All volunteers are requested to dress according to weather conditions and cleaning seva.
5. It is highly encouraged that the dress code includes blue jeans.
Top should be mission related and can be polo shirt, T-shirt etc.
6. Due to security concerns youth over the age of 13 can only participate in main street drive.
Youth under the age of 13 can participate in Bhavan boundary drive under adult supervision.
7. Kindly leave all belongings in your car such as backpacks, purses, umbrellas etc.
