Electricity and God (by Rohit - Barrie)

In school I learnt about electricity. I am going to show the similarities between electricity and God. Electricity is the main power source of energy for all electrical things. God is the main power source for all living things. You can’t see electricity, feel it, smell it or hear it but you can see it’s effect. You can’t see God feel, smell or hear God but you can feel the effect of God. Electricity helps us see in the dark, and gives us light. God takes us out of the dark and enlightens us. I also learnt about different types of circuits. They are the series circuit and parallel circuit. A series circuit is like a train of light bulbs. One’s family is like a workshop for saints. In the series circuit the electricity has to go in a circle from one bulb to the next. We are enlightened because our parents take us to sangat. In a series circuit, if one bulb goes out so do the rest. We are dependant on the people that bring us to sangat. In our lives if our parents don’t want to go to sangat we can’t get there. There is also the parallel circuit. In the parallel circuit if one bulb goes out the others stay on because they are connected directly to the main source. We need to connect ourselves to the main source of power. When I get older and move out of my parents’ house I will have to have a strong connection to the main source so that I can continue to come to sangat. Please bless me that I am able to make a parallel circuit connection and can continue to come to sangat and do seva and simran even when I grow older.
