SNM Toronto - Tree Plantation Event - June 8, 2024

In Harmony with Nature, we live - this is the message being followed at the Sant Nirankari Mission in an attempt to be intricately connected to nature. The mission has been organizing several grassroots programs to conserve and restore the environment. The tree plantation drive held at Chrysanthemum Valley in Brampton, Ontario, on June 8th, 2024, was a testament to this belief.

With 75 volunteers from the Centre for Oneness in Toronto planting 275 trees in just 75 minutes, this event not only demonstrated a collective effort towards environmental conservation but also symbolized a spiritual commitment to nurturing life in all its forms.

Members of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority provided informative sessions and training orientations, highlighting essential topics such as preparing the soil, planting techniques, proper spacing, depth of planting, and protection from pests and disease. By planting trees, the volunteers were not only contributing to ecological balance but also practicing selfless service, or 'sewa,' which is a core value of our mission.

This drive served as a powerful reminder that when we plant a tree, we are investing in the future of our planet and affirming our commitment to live in harmony with the natural world.
