On Dec 14th 2024, the Centre for Oneness in Toronto hosted its first ever “Building Tomorrow Conference” - an interfaith session in partnership with the local interfaith organizations.
With the vision of Oneness shown by Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita Ji, the theme of this conference was “The Role of Faith in Youth Development” - emphasizing spiritual growth for the youth today. The guests and attendees were warmly greeted and welcomed by the members of SNM Toronto.
This event featured speakers from various faiths and backgrounds such as Christianity, Buddhism, Sikhism, Hinduism and Islam - all sharing their insights on how to empower and uplift the youth of today using faith as our guiding light. Throughout the discussions, panelists quoted scriptures such as the Holy Bible, the Quran, Srimad Bhagavad Gita and Sri Guru Granth Sahib emphasizing the shared values of compassion, unity, and spiritual growth across faiths.
The event started with an opening prayer by Respected Parduman Dhinsa Ji welcoming all organizations and youth speakers on behalf of the Sant Nirankari Mission. With 125 members in attendance, the conference began with speeches from representatives of each organization introducing their core beliefs and values and how they interpret the role of faith in the development of youth. The conference highlighted how faith serves as a moral compass for young individuals, offering guidance, purpose, and resilience in the face of modern challenges.
The event concluded with a touching Interfaith Harmony Ceremony where all speakers and representatives participated in pouring water into a shared bowl, symbolizing unity and togetherness.
As an active member of interfaith organizations, the Sant Nirankari Mission remains committed to hosting events that foster interfaith dialogue and harmony. Together, these efforts contribute to creating meaningful connections and making a real, lasting impact on society, promoting unity and mutual respect.
The panelists for this event included Mrs. Terra Attard from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints, Buddhist monk Banthe Saranapala, Church of Scientology Volunteer Minister Juan Carlos Martinez, Muslim scholar Tariq Ghouri, Resp Vishal Khanna ji representing Hinduism, Rev David Stewart representing Universal Peace Federation and Christianity, Muslim scholar Molana Syed Raza Hussain Zaidi, Resp Imam Umair Khan representing Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Resp Sukhminder Singh Dhillon representing Sikhism and Resp Nidhi Dhara ji and David Dhanoa Ji representing the Sant Nirankari Mission.
