Humanness Blood Drive - Toronto

On Saturday, April 23rd 2016 the Sant Nirankari Mission, Toronto branch took part in the International Humanness Blood Drive. The opening ceremony was conducted by Michael Palleschi Regional Councillor Peel Region. With the grace of His Holiness Nirankari Baba Ji, 152 people registered and a record breaking 128 units of blood were donated. As a result of first time outreach over 30 + members of Jpura Canada Alumni Association (JCAA), a Sri Lankan Alumni group participated in clinic.

The excitement and enthusiasm of the participants was such that due to limited blood bags, registration had to be halted. The Toronto Branch hosted this blood drive as a part of an international effort to promote humaneness and wellness in various countries (Australia, India, New Zealand, and Dubai) in the month of April, contributing towards the vision of One world, One blood.

Inspired by His Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji's vision that “Life should be given to the living”, the SNM Toronto Branch collaborated with Canadian Blood Services and has been holding Blood Donation Clinics since 1997. In just 19 years, the Toronto Branch has been able to hold 26 clinics, with more and more units of blood donated every time by enthusiastic devotees, volunteers and community members. In 2010, the Canadian Blood Services honored SNM Canada with the award of “Partners for Life” for their continued support and dedication in giving back to society.

Through utmost dedication for providing compassionate service to the community, SNM Toronto was able to abide by His Holiness’s teachings of Humanity, Universal brotherhood and doing our sacred duty to society.. By donating blood, and becoming stem cell donors, Sant Nirankari Mission is contributing towards promoting values of Humanness.
