TORONTO BRANCH PARTICIPATES IN TREE PLANTING ON EARTH DAY
Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year worldwide. To mark this occasion, the city of Toronto, Canada organized a tree plantation drive in a beautiful Downsview Park on Sunday, April 21, 2013. The Park officials invited the general public as well as corporate groups to come and join them in this noble cause towards saving the environment.
More than 30 volunteers, mostly youth, from our Toronto branch of The Sant Nirankari Mission Canada participated in this event. This was a new venture for our Mission in Canada which has the Divine Blessings of His Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh ji Maharaj and was gracefully accepted by all. The volunteers were very enthusiastic and they all gathered at the Bhawan at 9.30 in the morning. The group engaged in the tree planting after listening carefully to the instructions provided by the Park authorities. With the blessings of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh ji, the Mission played a significant part to achieve this year’s goal to plant 2000 trees. In the end, the park authorities appreciated and thanked The Sant Nirankari Mission Canada for participation and presented a "Certificate of Recognition". In the end we thank our Lord Master Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj for His Divine Vision, Blessings and Enthusiasm.
