Samarpan Diwas - 2017

Sant Nirankari Mission commemorates May 13 as a “Samarpan Diwas” (Day of Surrender to Almighty’s Will) to remember the life of Baba Hardev Singh Ji, who merged into Almighty Nirankar (God Almighty) on this day in 2016.

To mark the day, several events were organised by Sant Nirankari Mandal Sydney. We participated in Adopt A Park project assigned to us by Blacktown Council in the morning of 13/05/2017. For this purpose over 60 saints of Sydney Branch of Sant Nirankari Mission gathered in our congregation hall in 166 Glendenning Road and then proceeded to Joe McAleer Park for the cleanup activities. They spent about 3 hours there cleaning up and removing rubbish.

Thereafter Saints proceeded to donate blood in Australian Red Cross premises in Jamisontown and over 30 units of blood were donated in the day.

In the evening of the 13 May, we had a Samagam (congregation) in our Bhavan Premises. A number of participants from other organisations and government bodies joined in to commemorate the day. We had the Mayor of Blacktown, members of Church of The Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ and BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir present in the Samagam. During the congregation the local Nirankari Saints described how Baba Hardev Singh Ji had touched their personal lives and how they received immeasurable love and blessings from him whenever they approached Babaji. Saints also sang hymns about the lofty and pious life of Baba Hardev Singh Ji.

Kids of the sangat also participated in the congregation by singing an English and a Hindi Song. During the end of the congregation a documentary on the exemplary inspirtational life of Baba Hardev Singh Ji was shown to everyone and finally we had the sermon from our Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji. Mataji gave personal examples of Babaji’s selfless love and respect for elders.
