Sant Nirankari Mission Participates in Anand Mela

Seattle Branch of Sant Nirankari Mission was blessed with an opportunity to participate in two day long. Anand Mela organized by Vedic Cultural Center (a community services project of ISKCON of Washington) on July 27 and 28, 2013. Ananda Mela is a free outdoor Indian festival, the largest in State Washington, show casing the diversity of incredible India. It was held at the Redmond City Hall campus and was attended by around 20,000 participants from various cultural backgrounds, speaking many languages, form many organizations and missions and represented true spirit of India in the fields of religion, spirituality, art, music, costumes and cuisine.

Evening before the event kicked off the volunteers from the mission spent evening setting the booth, which was organized under the non-profit category. Booth walls displayed various social activities conducted by the mission using pictures and posters of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj and various other Saints. The publications of the mission were put on display and distributed to enthusiastic guests at the booth and their contact information was registered. With the blessing of His Holiness the volunteers also shared the teachings of the mission with the guests at the booth and conveyed the message of peace and humanity while attending the visitors with a smiling face and joy. The attendees were impressed by the love and respect that saints had for them and for each other.

Other saints from the Seattle Sangat - kids, adults as well as seniors also visited the event and participated in full enthusiasm to support and encourage the gracious cause. In the end the volunteers helped the Mela organizers with winding up and cleaning. May Seattle Sangat be blessed with many more opportunities like this to spread the message of his holiness to the whole humanity.
