Mukti Parv Diwas

‘Mukti Parv’ - the festival of Spiritual freedom observed by Sant Nirankari Mission on 15th August organized at about 50 places in and around Mumbai.

Mumbai, August 21, 2023 : While India celebrated its 77th Independence Day, the Nirankari fraternity observed this day as a festival of Spiritual freedom and addressed it as 'Mukti Parv'. On this occasion, special satsang programs were organized in all the branches of the Mission across the country.

While addressing the ‘Mukti Parv’ congregation at Tracy, USA, Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj said that in materialistic world, the definition of freedom is different for everyone. The urge for materialistic independence drives person to invest appropriate time and energy to attain the freedom. However in spiritual world, people blindly copy and trace their ancestral rituals to attain spiritual freedom without the urge to know the spiritual being. Sant Nirankari Mission from ages have developed the inquisitiveness in human beings to realize their super-soul Nirankar. God realization is the key to spiritual freedom, which can be achieved only in human form.
In the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, ‘Mukti Parv’ was observed at about 50 branches of Sant Nirankari Mission in Mumbai city, suburbs, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Panvel, Uran, Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar, Dombivli, Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, Badlapur, Shahapur etc., where large number of followers congregated.

On this occasion, devotees paid homage to the former spiritual heads of the Mission viz Shehanshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji, Jagat Mata Budhwanti Ji, Nirankari Rajmata Kulwant Kaur Ji, Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji and all the dedicated devotees who upon experiencing the divine light themselves revealed it to others, too. It is the penance and sacrifices of these divine beings that have taken the mission to new heights for which every Nirankari will be indebted to their virtues throughout their life. Their inspirational life is difficult to be summed in a day.
Mukti Parv Samagam was first held on August 15, 1964 in the memory of Jagat Mata Budhwanti Ji, the spouse of Shehanshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji. Shehanshah Ji himself was a living icon of service, who devoted his entire life, selflessly serving to the mission. After his heavenly abode in 1969, this day was addressed as 'Shehanshah-Jagatmata Diwas'. In 1979, when the first Pradhan of Sant Nirankari Mandal, Labh Singh Ji left his mortal body, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji named this day as 'Mukti Parv'.

Pujya Mata Savinder Hardev Ji left her mortal body on 5th August, 2018. She took the reins of the mission in the form of Satguru in the year 2016 and prior to that, she continuously supported Baba Hardev Singh ji in every field for 36 years and drenched every devotee with her love. The essence of her love will always remain enshrined in the heart of every devotee. It is her exemplary life that when recited during ‘Mukti Parv’ inspires others.

Undoubtedly, this day is dedicated to each and every saint of the Nirankari Mission who presented an exemplary life filled with love, charity and brotherhood.
