Flood relief sewa carried by SNM Volunteers of Mumbai Zone

Flood Relief Drive at Chiplun and Mahad by SNM Volunteers.
Mumbai : 13th Aug 2021. For humanity to flourish every human must be the bridging block and harbour kindness for the other.
With the same spirit, zest and the blessings of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj the volunteers from Mumbai along with those from Chiplun and Mahad participated in Flood Relief Drive at Bhurteaali, Chiplun (Ratnagiri) and Mahad district. Lalit Dalvi ji (Kshetriy sanchalak, Mumbai - I) and Chandrakant Jadhav ji (editor, Sant Nirankari patrika, Marathi) visited and examined the affected areas.

Thereafter a total of 1003 volunteers of Sant Nirankari Mission from 34 branches across Mumbai Chiplun and Mahad rendered their services selflessly during the Flood Relief Drive from 29 July to 3rd August.

Cleaning and rehabilitation of streets, residential premises, hostels, S.T. stands, Temples, roads, government schools and offices ruined due to recent floods was carried out with great zeal. The affected areas were sprinkled with DDT powder by way of an insecticide to prevent the onslaught of any insect borne diseases. Distribution of groceries which included rice, dal, spices, sugar, tea ingredients, oil, flour, onion, potato etc in the affected and adjoining areas was also organised. In some areas basic necessities were made available at the Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan for people in need while adhering to the norms of social distancing and sanitizing.

Shri Vinod Tawde Ji, Former State Minister of Maharashtra also visited and appreciated the contribution of the volunteers. Local residents too expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards all the services offered by the volunteers of the mission.
Thus with the spirit of selflessness and gratitude the volunteers championed the cause of humanity.
