On April 24, the Sant Nirankari Mission has been
observing Manav Ekta Diwas or Human Unity Day every year
since 1981. The date has become sacred because it was on this day in 1980 that Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji laid down his life while crusading for the noble cause of truth, love, peace and human unity. The Mission’s followers commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji and hundreds of other martyrs and re-dedicate themselves to the cause they lived and died for. |

All the branches of the Mission numbering about 3000 in
the country and 200 abroad will be observing the day by holding special congregations. |

Most of the countries outside India have been allowed to
commemorate the day on Sunday, April 22. As a matter of fact the main Samagam in the divine presence of Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj this year was held in San Francisco in USA on April 22. |

In Mumbai they are being held at 12 places viz Chembur,
Wadala, Andheri, Goregaon, Kandivali, Bhayander,
Ghatkopar, Kalwa, Thane, Ghansoli, CBD Belapur and Uran. |
