English Medium Satsang

With the divine blessings of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji, the Montreal Branch of the Sant Nirankari Mission Canada held its first monthly English Medium Sangat (EMS) on Friday, December 12th, 2014 from 8:00pm - 9:00pm. Saints attended in great numbers and enthusiastically participated by sharing the thoughts of the Mission in the English language. Even some elders who are used to speaking in their native languages of Punjabi or Hindi made a great effort to promote the EMS by speaking in English.

The topic chosen for this first EMS was "How to make the World a better place". Children, youth and elders all spoke beautifully on promoting the teachings of the Sant Nirankari Mission and how they can be used to make this World a better place for all. Some of the points covered by the saints were:

Following Baba Ji's teachings and spreading the same throughout society

Changing oneself for the better and then striving to change others; if everyone were to adopt to work on themselves the whole world would change
Doing more community service
Small things count: smiling at others, spreading positive energy, helping people in small ways
Understanding that helping others provides happiness to oneself too
By setting an example in one's home to the youngsters in the home
Adapting the Mission's message to a broader audience through language.

We pray at the pious feet of His Holiness Baba Ji that we may continue these efforts and that more and more saints participate in the upcoming English Medium Sangats.
