Sant Nirankari Mission Head visits Victorian Parliament in Melbourne

Her Holiness Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj, the Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission, visited the Parliament of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia, on March 21, 2019, following an invitation from Mr Bruce Atkinson, Member of Legislative Council.

Besides Mr Bruce Atkinson the meeting was attended by other Members of the Parliament of Victoria, Mr. Kim Wells, Ms. Kaushaliya Vaghela, Mr. Nick Wakeling and members of the Sant Nirankari Mission’s core team. Other invitees included Ms Jaya Manchikanti, President, Indian Care and Mr Jim Goodin, Chairman, Mental Health Foundation of Australia.

Mr Atkinson welcomed Her Holiness Satguru Mata Ji and the visiting delegation. He thanked Her Holiness for leading the Mission, which is not only raising spiritual awareness among its followers but doing extraordinary work for the Victorian community. The Mission leads a voluntary blood donation movement, which has been acclaimed at the international level. Their active participation in cleanliness drives, school education and youth development activities is also laudable, he said.

Her Holiness thanked Mr. Bruce Atkinson and the Victorian Parliamentarians for in visiting Her and extending their support to the Sant Nirankari Mission. Mata Ji said: “Small positive efforts by each one of us make a huge difference to humanity”. She stressed that it is not human ‘features’ but human ‘values’ such as love, compassion and tolerance that make us human. Her Holiness also commended the efforts of Parliamentarians who lead and deliver significant changes for the society at large.
