Sant Nirankari Mission Launches Tree Plantation Campaign

August 10, 2009: The Sant Nirankari Mission launched a tree plantation campaign by planting 700 trees on Monday, August 10 at the Nirankari Spiritual Complex on GT Road between Gannaur and Samal Khan. The first tree was planted by His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj. Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji also participated in the campaign.

His Holiness said that while more trees of different varieties will be planted in the spiritual complex, all the branches of the Mission in India will also plant trees in co-operation with their local authorities. He said that the Mission has always been conscious of the problem of environmental pollution and contributed as much as possible to solve it. He said that the Sarovar Complex in Delhi has already become a tourist attraction spot for its beautiful trees, plants and green grassy grounds. It will be our effort to develop the spiritual complex also in the same way.
