Sant Nirankari Mission is a spiritual movement with the main objective of uniting mankind for the good of humanity at large. The Mission’s foundation stone was laid on the belief of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam’ i.e. that the whole world is one family. Hence, it is our primary responsibility to offer a helping hand to people who are less fortunate within this global family.

Putting this to practice Sant Nirankari Mission (South Africa) just like many previous years, successfully organized and hosted a Food Drive event “Know Hunger” in Johannesburg on February 22, 2020. During this food drive event, the Missions volunteers distributed food and groceries to more than 1700 people. Each donated hamper which had 13 different grocery items good enough to feed a family for a week.

After the distribution, during the felicitation ceremony, Captain Nitin Kapoor (Defence Advisor to High Commissioner of India in South Africa) and Col. Ngubane (Acting Station Commander, Bramley Police Station) while addressing the gathering, congratulated the Mission and explained the importance of these initiatives in society. He even mentioned that the Mission is known for its social activities not only in India but, world over.

They mentioned that the Mission has always been on the forefront when it comes to supporting any social cause. The drive was also attended by many other dignitaries from the police department, local consular office, community policing forum, members of street patrollers and representatives of local organizations.
