At the Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan in Birmingham a get-together with elderly people was organized over lunch on December 11, 2017. Like every year in the past, Nirankari devotees gave a feeling of kinship to these elderly people who have otherwise no families of their own to look after them.

In a special message for the occasion, Her Holiness Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj called upon everybody to adopt the spirit of Christmas in their daily life. The video message said:

“You all have come together for this Christmas Lunch today and we often hear about the spirit of Christmas. What’s this spirit? It’s rejoice of giving love, care and giving not just material gifts but those of compassion, harmony and peace too. It’s spirit of ‘thee’ and ‘thine’ not ‘me’ and ‘mine’ as Baba Ji always taught us as well.

We remember the teachings of Jesus Christ and pray to Almighty that we may be able to live up to those teachings not just for a day or a month but all our lives the feelings of gratefulness and surrender towards Almighty and compassion towards the fellow beings. May Nirankar bless everyone with the wisdom to imbibe the true spirit of Christmas and spirituality and live it all our lives.”
