Nirankari Spiritual Exhibition Organised in Dehradun

For the first time Dehradun hosted the Nirankari Spiritual Exhibition at Parade Ground from December 10 to 13, 2015. The mood of Nirankari devotees and others was set by essay writing and painting competitions on December 9 in which about 150 children from 15 different schools participated.

The exhibition was also inaugurated in the evening on December 9 with Shri Govind Singh Kunjwal, Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Uttarakhand as the Chief Guest. He went round the exhibition and said that the Sant Nirankari Mission is certainly a global spiritual movement with its lofty message that is the need of the whole world. He also distributed prizes among children who excelled in the painting competition.

The exhibition was, however, formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Harish Rawat, while the Hon’ble Minister for Tourism Shri Dinesh Dhanai was also present. They also enjoyed the Bhakti Sangeet organised at the venue of the exhibition. The Hon’ble Chief Minister gave away the prizes to the children who stood first, second and third in the essay competition. The topic of the competition was ‘Oneness”.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Harish Rawat said that the message of Oneness can best be promoted by a perfect Spiritual Master only. He said that God has created all as one. If there are any hurdles, they are all created by man. He said that the Sant Nirankari Mission is doing a great service to humanity by promoting oneness of mankind through oneness of God.

Shri Harbhajan Singh Ji, Zonal Incharge, Mussoorie thanked the Chief Minister, Minister of Tourism and other dignitaries present on the occasion.

Earlier, in the morning on December 10 the members of the Sant Nirankari Sewadal and other devotees organised a Motor-bike Rally to create awareness about the exhibition among the citizens of Dehradun. More than 200 vehicles participated. The rally was flagged off from Parade Ground by Shri Raj Kumar, MAL, while Shri Harbhajan Singh, Zonal Incharge, Mussoorie, Shri Kalam Singh Rawat, Sanyojak, Dehradun and several other prominent citizens of the town were present. After passing through Kanak Chowk, Aslahal Chowk, Gandhi Park, Clock Tower, Tashil Chowk and Prince Chowk, it concluded back at Parade Ground.

On December 11, the day started with a Marathon - ‘Run for Oneness’, which was flagged off by Shri Ganesh Joshi, MLA. Starting from Parade Ground, it passed through Quality Chowk, Clock Tower, Darshan Chowk, Buddha Chowk and concluded at Parade Ground. Shri Joshi also went round the exhibition later on and said that it has depicted beautifully the universal message of love and devotion preached by the Mission.

The evening was marked by ‘Sufi-Kalaam’. The Hon’ble Minister for Forests and Sports, Shri Dinesh Agarwal went round the exhibition and enjoyed the Sufi Kalaam presented by artists from Punjab including Vicky Detwali and Heera and Party.

The third day of the exhibition, December 12, 2015 was marked by a voluntary Blood Donation Camp. It was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Uttarakhand Shri Surender Singh Negi. About 300 units of blood were collected by teams of doctors from Jolly Grant Hospital, Indiresh Hospital and Doon Hospital.

On December 13, the exhibition concluded with a special congregation presided over by the Manager of the exhibition from Delhi, Shri Kuldeep Singh Ji. He said that the exhibition was quite successful to spread the information about the Mission, its philosophy of ‘Oneness’ and ‘World Without Walls’ and various activities, particularly towards Social Welfare, as thousands of people from all the sections of society visited the Parade Ground during these four days. He thanked the Zonal Incharge, Sanyojak, Sewadal and other devotees for making the exhibition a grand success.
