Over 250 Children Participate in Drawing and Painting Competition in Chandigarh

 

On October 2, 2015, Sant Nirankari Mandal organized a drawing and painting competition at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan Sector 30-A. The competition was inaugurated by Dr. B.S. Cheema, Zonal Incharge, Chandigarh. Over 250 children from Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula participated in the competition.

The competition was organized for age groups 7 to 10 years, 11 to 13 years and 14 to 17 years on the themes-World Without Walls; A Village Scene; Cleanliness Drive; The Best Day of My Life; Teachings of Nirankari Mission; and Samagam Sewa. The themes of the competition were designed keeping the varied age groups in mind. The aim of the drawing and painting competition was to give the budding talent a chance to portray their skill on a wider platform and to help them add on to their confidence.

Dr. Cheema motivated the children to understand the spirit of the competition and put optimal concentration to the art work. It is a chance to learn the message of the Mission while they incorporate it into their drawings and paintings, he said.

The shortlisted paintings will be included in the ‘Bal Pradarshini’ representing the Chandigarh region in the Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam to be organized from 14th to 16th November, 2015 in Delhi.
