Tree Plantation and Cleanliness Drive

No doubt, the Sant Nirankari Mission is making every possible effort to strengthen the spiritual aspect of human life, it is paying equal attention to other aspects also. Accordingly, the Mission conducts a tree plantation and cleanliness drive in the country and abroad every year. The Mission is keen that the world should have a pollution-free environment and ecological balance so that man can breathe and live comfortably. We wish a green world with prosperous life for everyone.

The drive was launched by the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation to celebrate the 60th Birthday of His Holiness. All the branches of the Mission across the world participated.

The objectives was to draw the attention of the public towards anti-pollution measures as also the message of selfless service of humanity as a means to express our devotion to God, as preached by the Mission.

In Delhi, the devotees planted about 500 plants in the green belt in Sector 19, Dwarka. Holy Sister Bindiya Chhabra Ji planted the first tree while Rev C.L. Gulati Ji, Secretary Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, the local Mukhi Rev Ved Batra Ji and other saints also followed.

For cleanliness, the devotees concentrated on New Delhi Railway Station. About 1500 volunteers of the Sant Nirankari Sewa Dal in uniform and other devotees worked for about 4 hours and cleaned the whole area. Briefing Media-persons here Holy Sister Bindiya Chhabra Ji and Rev C.L. Gulati Ji said that this campaign is conducted by the Foundation every year on February 23 to celebrate the Birthday of His Holiness. For devotees it has already become a part devotion. As taught by Satguru, they consider service to humanity as devotion to God.
