The celebrations began with Cleanliness Drive early in the morning under the guidance of Shri H.K. Arora, Sanyojak. Devotees including women and children participated with a great spirit of devotion and enthusiasm. Through placards they gave the message that we should keep not only the environment but minds also clean.

This was followed by tree plantation which was inaugurated by Municipal Commissioner Smt. Manisha Gupta. She appreciated the attention being paid to environment by the Mission besides its spiritual message. She said it was an example to be followed by all.

Some devotees led by Shri Kishore Swarn distributed fruits and snacks among patients in the district hospital.

The day was also marked by a Sewa Dal Rally in which men and women in uniform presented physical exercises and games. Addressing the rally Rev Jagannath Nirankari said that Guru Puja or devotion to Satguru in real sense mean to follow his teachings in day-to-day life.
