Satguru Mata Ji Visits Sant Nirankari Blood Bank in Mumbai

The 30th of January, 2017 became a red letter day in the history of the Sant Nirankari Blood Bank in Vile Parle (E), Mumbai, when Her Holiness Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj blessed the Blood Bank with her divine presence for the first time. Brig P.S. Cheema Ji (Retd), Member Incharge Medical Health and Social Welfare, Sant Nirankari Mandal from Delhi welcomed Her Holiness and introduced her to all the Members of the staff.

Her Holiness went round each department of the blood bank while technical staff explained the functions of various equipments and the process of extracting different blood components in detail. Her Holiness took keen interest in the working of the blood bank and blessed all the staff to continue to work efficiently.

Her Holiness was accompanied by Rev Bindiya Chhabra Ji, Executive President of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, Rev Sukhdev Singh Ji, Sanyojak Amritsar, Holy Sister Sudiksha Ji and Dr. A.S. Cheema Ji, Medical Superintendent, Sant Nirankari Charitable Hospital, Delhi.

Inaugurated and dedicated to community by Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj on January 26, 2016, the Sant Nirankari Blood Bank has organized 25 blood camps so far, where it collected 1819 units of blood. In addition, 332 donors donated their blood voluntarily in the blood bank, raising the total number of units of blood collected by the bank to 2151.

The Sant Nirankari Blood Bank has already become a Mother Blood Bank supplying bulk blood units to 5 Blood Storage Centres and one Pharmaceutical company. The high quality of blood components from volunteer donors of the Sant Nirankari Mission have been appreciated by the hospitals who now indicate their preference to obtain blood from the Sant Nirankari Blood Bank.
