…….LIVE RIGHT ANYWAY!
When we are young, we always blame our mind, that it is full of vicious
thoughts. When we know that we should go for a satsang or to a temple and we
don’t feel like it, we think that it is the mind and we accuse it for its
attitude.
We think that our mind controls us and leads us. At that time we feel that our
body wants to be at a certain place, but in real, our mind does not let it.
But once we get old, our body starts to decline and it resists going to satsang
due to poor health but then, the mind inspires to go to satsang and
congregations. Our mind, that we once thought was the culprit, now motivates us
to attend spiritual congregation, but then, the body’s resistance takes over.
There is no mind to control if you realize the self. The mind having vanished,
the Self shines forth. Control your mind; don’t let your mind control you. You
were made to direct your mind, and not let your mind direct you. Hence the
saying, our body and mind belong to God. Just surrender and do the right thing.
Don’t let the worldly body and the materialistic mind keep you from reaching
your destiny.
What we are is God's gift to us. What we become is our gift to God.
God wants us to obey so He can guide us to fulfill a divine plan and purpose for
our lives. But submission to His will doesn't come naturally.
To instruct us in obedience, the Lord requires we comply with earthly authority.
Holy Scriptures say that a child is to honor and obey his parents. God planned
our early experiences of authority and obedience. Early days would involve those
who love us and care about our best interest. But, people are born with
rebellion in their spirit.
Toddlers often willfully defy warnings not to touch forbidden items. But as a
child grows, lessons are learned from his parent's repeated warnings and
discipline. A child mastering rebellion leads to greater privilege and a solid
relationship with Mom and Dad. As he matures, a child encounters other authority
figures like teachers, police officers, and coaches. Then when a young adult
takes a job, the command from Holy Scripture says to submit to one's employer.
God places authority figures in our life. Since these men and women are humans,
they'll make mistakes and sometimes treat us unfairly. But they're still God’s
instruments for our eternal growth.
Whether or not we approve of the way we are ruled, our parents, employers, and
other authorities teach us that obedience has value. Disobedience has
consequences. We already understand the basic principles of submission when it's
time to decide about yielding our will to God. He's a perfect Father, who
desires only the best for His children. Whether we admit it or not, THERE IS
ALWAYS A JOY IN OBEDIENCE!
Happiness keeps you Sweet, Trials keep you Strong, Sorrow keeps you Human,
Failure keeps you humble and
Success keeps you glowing, but only Faith & Attitude keeps you going...
As Mother Teresa used to say:
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind
anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone may destroy overnight; Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, people may be jealous; be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the
best you’ve got anyway.
In the final analysis, it is all between you and God; it was never between you
and them anyway.
We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.
Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us
daily.
"We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a
baby, then another, get a new job, get a new house. Then we are frustrated that
the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. The truth
is, there's no better time to be happy than right now! If not now, when? Your
life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself
and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way."
