LUNCH WITH GOD! -Oneness!

A little boy wanted to meet God.
He packed his suitcase with two sets of his clothes and some packets of Cakes and he started his journey.
He walked along and soon felt tired. So he sat in a park on the way and opened a packet of cake to eat.
Then he noticed an old woman sitting sad with hunger nearby, so he offered her a piece of cake.
She gratefully accepted it with a wide look and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy longed to see it again. After some time he offered her another piece of cake. Again, she accepted it and smiled at him.
The boy was delighted!

They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word. As it grew dark, the boy started getting scared. He got up to leave but before he had gone more than a few steps, he ran back and gave her a hug. She kissed him and gave him, her prettiest smile.
When the boy reached home, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you look so happy?"
He replied, "I had lunch with God."
Before his mother could respond, he added,
"You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen in my life!"
Meanwhile, radiant with joy, the old woman returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and asked, "Mom, what did you do today that made you so happy?
"She replied, "I ate cakes in the park with God."
Before her son responded, she added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected."

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment
or the smallest act of caring; all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or for a lifetime.
Accept all of them equally! AND LET THEM SEE GOD IN YOU!

-Story Contributed by Shivani Singh!

Our identity is not this body, but the soul within. Each of us has a pious soul which is part and parcel of the super soul (God). We were made in God’s image. God is within each and every human being and we have to be able to recognize this aspect of the creation. The very core of our nature changes when we start to see God in other people. We are nicer and warmer to others and our heart reflects purity. The radiance reflects on our faces.

The Bible says: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. –Matthew 5:8

We, as human beings are the only species that has the capability and the capacity to know about God. Animals, birds, insects or plants do not have that understanding. If we waste this precious lifetime just fighting over religions, then what have we really accomplished as human beings? We think we love God but do complete opposite of what God expects from us. God wants “ONENESS”: Selfless Oneness with each other. Oneness which is pure!

Looking down upon people is showing disgrace towards God’s creation. Love begets love and respect begets respect. Most often we are trying to balance ourselves between doing what our mind says and doing the right thing. None of us are born perfect but it is a matter of disciplining ourselves. Each time a negative thought comes, we should focus on reminding ourselves that God is watching and reading our thoughts and at this very moment, what exactly would His expectation be from us?

Our goal should always be living up to His expectations. Life becomes easy and decision making becomes easier when we focus on God and His ways.

See the soul in others, not the body. The body is just a temple; the essence is of the deity that lives within the temple. Others might not have the same habits and ways as we would like, but our ways are also not the same as others’. We all have our own perspective but that neither makes us a RIGHT, nor does it make others’ WRONG. We all have our own ways but the fact still remains that there is God in every single human being no matter what they are like. God is happier with those who are humble and willing to do the right thing, than those who are constantly trying to cater to their ego.

Being able to see God in everyone comes with God’s blessing and favor. This blessing is showered when God sees a genuine urge and desire on our end.

ONENESS: IS A PRACTICE! THE MORE WE ATTEMPT IT, THE BETTER WE MASTER IT!
