“The Value Of Human Life”

Daljeet Bassi, 11.12.2005

The value of human life,

Starts from before, when the cord is cut with a knife,

It starts when a smile touches a heart,

And brings people together,

When before they were apart.

I see you as I see me,

The bringing together of people, creates a synergy,

One plus one to me equals three,

The power of love is everything to me.

So is the value of human life,

Different in different parts?

To some people it is, but they live in the dark,

A life is a life, who are we to judge,

It’s too easy in life, to simply bear a grudge.

The value of human life, is a precious thing,

For it’s given us this opportunity,

To break apart that ring,

Of life and death,s we become different things,

And let’s us complete our journey,

So together with Nirankar, we may sit and sing.

So let us take this opportunity,

As we are blessed to walk upon this earth,

To understand in life, what things are actually worth.

And to use our abilities,

To look for ways in which we may serve.

The value of human life, is a precious thing,

Be it that of a sinner, -  pauper, priest or king,

However we must use it,

With the wisdom that we must develop,

All my brothers and sisters,

Is what my love - must envelop.

I see you, as I see me,

I love you, as I love me,

Only through the creation,

Of this beautiful tapestry,

Will god help us, to be truly free.
