“Satguru’s Expectations from us”

At first glance it appears very clear to our mind as what our Satguru expects from us. So first thoughts are that satguru who is HH babaji. He wants us to be a good person, a good saint, a good citizen, a good human. He wants us to do seva, satsang, simran all the time after taking gyan ie divine knowledge.  He expects us to be kind, gentle and loving and caring towards all and live a happy life. etc etc.

Now, if we just stop here, thinking this is what it is all about, then we are surely mistaken. We are not really getting to the underlying and profound meaning of this topic.  First of all let’s understand the falsification of this topic. Why? Because unless we know the false meaning, we cannot understand the true meaning. Truth is always reached or known by going through the false. Like Divine is realized by knowing the maaya (illusion). And as we get closer to the truth, all the false layers start dropping.. Then what is left is the pure essence. The core of the existence or life. The way everything should be as it is. In perfect harmony and divine order.

So, here are some points to get some clarity-

1 . Satguru does not mean just HH babaji in literal sense. Satguru means the divine power or the nirankar. He is timeless. Satguru means divine presence that flows through the living master of time.

2. Satguru does not  expect anything from anyone because expectation is tied to future and it leads to a state of desire. It can result in suffering/pain if not met and takes us away from the divine and the present moment. So no expectations, just teachings or directions.

3.      It is always about ‘me’ first, rather than ‘us’. Because if I change myself  first, the world will change automatically. Change here means return to our true self. A genuine nature.

So what needs to be done? Do nothing and just be aware. When you look at a beautiful flower, you feel happy. It is because there are no expectations tied up and you are present in the moment. It is the true nature of the flower to bloom. The way it should be and spread the fragrance and colors all around. There are no efforts and imperfections. So you enjoy it’s beauty and presence. Same way when we return to our true self, a true nature, and a true human being, then we are brought in the present moment. We are happy in ‘the moment’…we are blissful in ‘the moment’. This moment. Right now…right here….
