With the blessings of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji
Maharaj, on 29th January, 2012, Yorkshire Nirankari
Volunteers organised a regional English Medium Samagam at
Bradford, UK bhawan. Along with invited guests from local
community and saints from across Yorkshire, attendees also
arrived from Leicester, Scotland and Liverpool. There was an
uplifting and vibrant atmosphere with spiritual songs,
poems, thoughts and words of wisdom.
Rev Jawahar Singh Ji, on behalf of the local committee,
welcomed all the attendees and guests and introduced the
Nirankari mission to the new members of the samagam. Rev
Mohinder Ram Ji, local committee member also echoed these
thoughts and said that the Nirankari Mission is not a new
religion or sect, instead it's a movement to bring peace and
harmony in this world through the fatherhood of God.
In the discourse, Rev Shivaji Rane, from Glasgow, said that
to bring unity and harmony amongst each other, society always
need people to have saintly qualities and the Nirankari Mission
has been doing this since it’s inception. He further added that
being a realised soul is just the beginning and one must adopt
guru's teachings of humility, forgiveness, tolerance, and love
in their life. To hold grudges and hatred against someone is
like giving a rent free apartment in our heart and one must shed
these vices. The Lord master doesn't convert our bodies,
language, clothes but he does convert our hearts; from
negativity into positivity. To be born as a human doesn't follow
that you are human unless you have humane qualities and this can
only be achieved through the teachings of The Lord master of the
time.
Community lunch was served for all the attendees including
guests who expressed their gratitude for giving them an
opportunity to be a part of such an inspiring programme. They
praised Mission's volunteers for their selfless work in bridging
the gaps between different societies.
