Spiritual Congregation Organized in Tihar Jail in Delhi

A special spiritual congregation was organized on behalf of the Sant Nirankari Mission in Prison No. 8 of Tihar Jail in Delhi on December 27, 2011.  While Major J.D. Sharma, Member Central Planning and Advisory Board presided.  The Jail Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent and several other Senior Officers were present, besides a large number of inmates of the prison, of course.

Addressing the congregation Rev J.D. Sharma said that linking with God is the only means to purify our thoughts, words and actions.  Once we are united with the ‘purest of the pure’, all that we think, speak and perform becomes pure.  This linking with God is, of course, possible only with the blessings of Satguru.

Rev J.D. Sharma said that Satguru is so benevolent that he forgives us for our shortcomings and needs us on the path of truth and righteousness.  We shed our ego and feelings of discrimination and hatred, and lead a life based on positivity and goodwill.

The congregation was also addressed by Mission’s learned scholars, poets and singers including Dr. Jagan Nath Sharma Hans, Rev Vivek ‘Rafiq’ Sharma, Rev Sandeep K Saxena,  Rev Rakesh Joshi, Rev Roshan Dehlvi and Rev Manoj.

Immediately after the congregation several inmates received Brahm Gyan.
