Nirankari Mission Yorkshire holds “Truthful Living” Interfaith
Assembly

With the benign blessings of His Holiness Baba Hardev
Singh Ji Maharaj, Yorkshire Nirankari Volunteers organised
and held a special assembly at the Sant Nirankari Bhawan
Bradford. The theme of the gathering was “Truthful Living
within a modern society”.
On behalf of the Nirankari Mission, Local Parmukh Rev Jawahar
Singh Ji, Rev Atma Ram Ji, Rev Kulbinder Saandal Ji, and other
Local committee members, along with local saints, warmly
welcomed the guests who belonged to various faiths and
communities and had travelled from different parts of the region
to attend this event.
Mr Inderjit Bhogal OBE, Director of Yorkshire and Humber
faiths Forum stated how the Christian values of love for fellow
man and neighbour were being promoted within the Nirankari
Mission’s message of Universal oneness and went onto thank and
commend the mission’s endeavours towards this goal.
Rev H.S.Upashak ji presided over the assembly and in his
discourse said many people welcome others as guests; but here
today if we talk of Universal Brotherhood under the Fatherhood
of ONE God then we are ALL his children, and as brothers and
sisters the whole congregation was warmly welcomed and
addressed.
He further added that Truth is the ultimate and definitive
absolute BUT higher still was Truthful living. This journey of
Truthful living can only begin when we firstly become good
individuals, good human beings, and adopt mutual love and
respect for our parents, for our families and society. A good
human-being leads to being a good Hindu, Muslim or Christian;
and if we can adopt tolerance and understanding for others
belief, then we can have ALL peaceful co-existence within our
communities and society at large.
Finally all the guests enjoyed the communal meal prepared by
the local saints. All of them praised and were very touched and
inspired by Mission’s message, hospitality and humbleness of the
saints.
