Christmas, a time to remember, a time to rejoice, a time
to share with loved ones. While the majority of families get
together to celebrate the festivities; there are many less
fortunate souls who miss out. Many without food, shelter or
money in the bitter harshness of the winter season face a
very lonely time, with little to cheer or celebrate.
Taking His Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj’s
Universal message of Love and compassion to serve and help the
whole of mankind; SNM Yorkshire volunteers took this
opportunity to extend the season of goodwill towards all men.
Representatives from the “Bradford Soup Run” a leading
charity organisation in the Yorkshire region; came to collect on
Sunday 18th Dec 2011 the large volumes of warm clothing, shoes,
blankets, sleeping bags and sweets as donated by the local
congregation.
Rev Jawahar Singh Ji, Parmukh Yorkshire, along with other
committee members, welcomed and shared the Mission's philosophy
and Satguru's message with them. They were greatly impressed
with the Mission's social work towards the betterment of mankind
and creating harmony across the different communities.
They further agreed to continue this liaison and looked
forward in taking up the Mission’s volunteers offer to work
collaboratively in the New Year in making a positive difference
in the lives of young homeless people. May Satguru bless the
whole of mankind with His vision so that every human being on
this earth may see and love all as his own family.
