On Saturday 30th July 2011, the second annual UK SNM
Ladies National Netball Tournament took place at West
Midlands, Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, UK. Saintly sisters
of all ages came from across the UK, to participate in a fun
filled day of netball, and in the process underpinned
Satguru Baba Ji's message that devotion through actions of
humility, tolerance, love and peace remain the foundation of
an enlightened soul’s life, even in the sporting arena.
As per the inaugural tournament one year prior, all
participating player’s names were randomly selected to form
mixed teams aptly named, ‘Petals of Peace’, ‘Flowers of
Forgiveness’ and ‘Universal Sisterhood’. Local saints
enhanced the event by cheering on all participating saints
and demonstrating the love and tranquillity which is always
prevalent when enlightened beings congregate.
The event demonstrated the ethos of the Mission of living
life with saintly virtues in all environments through praying
together, playing together and ultimate staying together in
unison with God Almighty.
Rev Mahesher Singh Bhumbra Ji, SNM Executive In-Charge of
Social and Welfare and fellow Executive member Rev Sukhjinder
Singh Ji presided over the event and blessed all participants
both prior to commencement and during the post match
presentations. They emphasised that practicing and participating
in such events solidifies internal unity of the congregation and
provides the platform for future participation in externally
organised events in order to spread the mission’s message.
