A Seminar on Re-establishing Humanity held in Dharmshala
 

A seminar on Universal Brotherhood and Re-establishing Humanity’ was organized at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Shilla Chowk Dharmshala on September 4, 2011. Many renowned and intellectual persons of Dharmshala took part in the seminar. The Chief Guest for the seminar was Shri Priyatu Mandal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kangra and the Guest of Honour was Shri Hitesh Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Excise and Customs Department, Palampur. Representatives of various religious organizations also took part in this seminar.


Representing Christianity, Mr. Fedrick Manmohan said that importance of religion is not due to a particular caste or sect., but for uniting the entire humanity. Throwing light on Islam, Mohammad Kamil Jamayi mentioned that a true follower of Islam loves humanity and all humans are equal for him. He said that we don’t indulge ourselves in criticizing the holy scriptures of others. Mentioning the aspects of Humanity in Hinduism, Shri Ashwani Verma said that Holy Scriptures have always supported Universal Brotherhood. If we wish to establish humanity in world, we need to watch our own behaviour.

Representing the Sant Nirankari Mission, Rev Naranjan Singh IAS (Retd) said - To establish humanity, we need to think of human aspects. Till the time we decide what is to be done and rise above our views, we remain in illusion and humanity can’t be established. He mentioned the achievements of the Mission in this regard.



Shri Hitesh Sharma mentioned that till the time we are narrow-minded, we can’t think of humanity. Chief Guest, Shri Priyatu Mandal said that when we rise towards our responsibilities, there is no opposition and love prevails for each other.

Around 500 intellectuals, who had come from Dharmshala, Kangra, Nagrota, Maranda and Nurpur, attended the seminar. Rev S. L. Garg from Delhi conduced the proceedings. In the end, Rev Duni Chand, Zonal Incharge, Chamba thanked everyone including Sewa Dal for the success of this seminar.
