



A tree plantation drive was organized in the Nirankari
Baba Gurbachan Singh Memorial College, Sohna in Haryana on
August 18, 2011. The drive was inaugurated by Smt. Roshni
Bhardwaj, Chairperson, Municipality Committee, Sohna.
While holy sister Rev Bindiya Chhabra Ji, Administrator,
Education Department, presided.





Among other dignitaries who planted trees on this
occasion included Rev C.L. Gulati, Secretary, Sant Nirankari Charitable
Foundation; Rev R.S. Kapoor, Member Incharge, Education
Department; Brig (Retd) P.S. Cheema, Addl. Member Incharge,
Medical and Social Welfare Department; Rev M.C. Nagpal,
Chairman, Management Committee, Sohna College; Rev Rakesh
Chaudhary, Member Management Committee of the college; and Rev
M.S. Khatri, Prinicpal. Besides the students of the college, a
large number of Sewa Dal volunteers and other devotees of the
Mission participated in the drive. They planted about 1000
trees in the college complex.






On this occasion, the souvenir of the college ‘Gyan Ankur’
was also released.
Speaking on the occasion Smt. Roshni Bhardwaj said that
besides giving formal education, the college provided a
spiritual atmosphere to the students. She appreciated the
spirit of love and devotion that prevailed during the plantation
drive.
Rev C.L. Gulati gave details about the social welfare
activities of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation
undertaken with the co-operation of the Sant Nirankari
Mandal. The Principal of the college presented a detailed
account of the activities of the college and thanked the Chief
Guests and other dignitaries.
