Eye Cataract Camp held in Mumbai


On September 18, 2011, an Eye Camp for Cataract was held at Chembur Satsang Bhawan Mumbai by Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation in association with K.B. Hajibachhuali Hospital.

This camp was inaugurated by the holy family of Rev Vivek Shauq Ji.  This family was present to see and experience the kind of Sewa done at such events.  Ms Prem Oberoi, the Social Welfare Coordinator of Sant Nirankari Mission briefed the family about the Sewa and the process in which the Sewa is done.  The daughters of Rev Vivek Shauq Ji also participated in the Sewa in various forms like registration of the patients and also guiding them during the camp.  Chembur Sewa Dal unit also contributed to this camp in form of arranging the required facilities.

In this camp the overall turnout was 500 persons.  Of these, 17 persons were identified for the cataract operation.  For the operations Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation along with the K.B. Hajibachhuali Hospital, has arranged for an ambulance, next day of the camp to take the patients to hospital and bring them back after the operation, after two days.
