Eye Camp for Cataract Organized in Navi Mumbai




Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, in association with K.B. Hajibachhuali Hospital arranged a free eye check-up and cataract operation camp at Sanpada Satsang Bhawan in New Mumbai on Sunday, September 25, 2011. 

The camp was inaugurated by the ‘Pramukh’ of Sanpada Branch, Rev Manohar Sawant. He listed the various social welfare activities undertaken by the Sant Nirankari Mission such as, blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, anti-malaria campaigns, etc.  He also explained how the Mission is working towards universal brotherhood. The Satsang held at the Bhawan was chaired by Rev Suhas Patil Ji.

While 300 patients cam for eye check-up 25 cases were identified for eye operation.  For them, an ambulance was arranged for next day from the venue of the camp to take the patients to hospital and bring them back to the same venue two days after the operation.

This Camp was very much appreciated by the local people. They thanked Sant Nirankari Mission for arranging this camp and also were very impressed by the ideology of the Mission.  This event was very successful with the remarkable efforts put in by Social Work Coordinator, Mrs Prem Oberoi and the Sewa Dal of Sanpada Unit.
