With the blessings of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj
Sant Nirankari Mission Lagos organized a blood donation camp on
23rd April, 2011 with the motto “Blood Should flow in veins, not
in drains”. The Mission organizes Blood donation Camps every
year on “Human Unity Day”. Volunteers of the Mission living
throughout the world donate blood and feel blessed. The camp in
Lagos was organized at Hotel Cumberland, Victoria Island, where
40 saints donated blood. There were many more who could not
donate blood, due to medical reasons,
Mr Mirani, Vice President Hindu Mandir Foundation along with
Industrialists Mr.Harish Dalamal (M.D. Vic. Industry) and Mr.
Kishin Vaswani from Hong Kong made their honourable presence,
and admired the efforts being made by the Mission. Dr. Shinoy,
Dr. Jabal and District Red Cross Society voluntarily gave their
services. The camp started at 9 AM and continued till 3:45 PM.
Hotel Cumberland Management arranged complimentary snacks etc.
as a gesture of service for all the members who were donating
blood. Mrs Sushma Ahuja, President Sant Nirankari Mission-Lagos
along with her team gave vote of thanks to all dignitaries and
blood donors.
On April 24, 2011, a special congregation was organized on
“Manav Ekta Diwas” at the Residence of Rev Ashok Ji and Krishna
Ji. It started with Avtar Bani followed by songs and speeches.
Some special songs prepared by Bal Sangat on UNIVERSAL
BROTHERHOOD were also presented. Rev Sushma Ahuja shared her
gratitude towards the true master for blessing us and how our
Satguru is leading an exemplary life and how fortunate we are to
have such role model for us. Rev Chader Tusiani presided the
congregation and shared the role of religion in our life. He
said a person can be called religious only if he is implementing
the teachings of saints and prophets, and living with Love,
Compassions, Harmony with fellow beings. He also said, “Serving
fellow beings is like serving God”.
